Apple has released version 2.0 of its Apple Store app for iOS devices, and it has included a number of new features designed to improve the shopping experience when you visit an Apple Store. The app now lets users purchase something from their phone and schedule in-store pickup to avoid the lines and crowds. Users can also purchase items while in the store by scanning it and paying right on their phone, eliminating the need to deal with an actual sales associate. There is also a new tab to let users track their current and previous purchases. Apple has added support for Canada and China within the app, but the in-store pickup and self-checkout features are only available in the U.S., and the latter requires an iPhone 4 or 4S. The Apple Store app is free and available in the iTunes App Store now.
