Yesterday, Facebook announced a new feature for mobile apps that allows the apps to integrate with the Facebook Like button. When users like, approve, heart, or thumbs up something in an app that has enabled the feature, this action will be displayed on their Facebook timelines. Other users will also get notifications through Facebook when someone likes their content within an app, such as hearting a photo in Instagram. In addition to Instagram, the new feature is present in the latest version of foursquare for mobile devices. It will likely show up in other popular mobile apps in the near future, as well.
