Google announced today that users of its Google Maps for Android app can now access floor plans to 20 different museums located throughout the U.S. in the app. Users will be able to navigate their way through the museums even when they are inside buildings and don't have a clear view of the sky. The museums that are supported by the new feature are the de Young Museum in San Francisco, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Cincinnati Museum Center, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, 17 Smithsonian museums, and the Smithsonian National Zoo. Google says that more museum floor plans will be added in the near future.
