RALEIGH, N.C. — Carolina Hurricanes ahead Jackson Blake signed an eight-year, $45 million contract extension Thursday that can start with the 2026-27 season.
The 21-year-old Blake, the son of former NHL ahead Jason Blake, had 17 objectives and 17 assists in 80 regular-season video games final season and added three objectives and three assists in 15 playoff video games.
“Jackson had an excellent rookie season, and we predict he’s simply scratching the floor of the participant he will be,” Hurricanes common supervisor Eric Tulsky stated in a crew assertion. “His tenaciousness on the puck and competitiveness match our crew’s tradition, and we’re enthusiastic about his future with our membership.”
The 5-foot-11 proper wing was drafted by the Hurricanes within the fourth spherical in 2021. He performed two seasons on the College of North Dakota.
