Following the conclusion of another significant series of Premier League fixtures, attention universally shifted to Europe’s premier divisions on Sunday night.

Several pivotal encounters took place, featuring Juventus and AC Milan in Italy’s Serie A, both striving to secure Champions League berths, alongside a major Ligue 1 confrontation between Marseille and Lyon.

Catch up with the highlights from these matches below.

Roma 3-3 Juventus: Goal-laden spectacle in Serie A

Roma and Juventus concluded their Serie A match with an exciting 3-3 draw at the Stadio Olimpico, a point salvaged for the visitors thanks to Federico Gatti’s injury-time effort.

Roma secured a first-half lead through Wesley’s superb 39th-minute finish, who, after being played in by Niccolo Pisilli, curled the ball into the top corner.

The intensity of the game significantly escalated after the half-time break. Chico Conceicao leveled the score on 47 minutes with a powerful shot from the edge of the box, only for Evan Ndicka to re-establish Roma’s advantage seven minutes later, poking home from Lorenzo Pellegrini’s corner.

With Donyell Malen’s individual effort to chip Mattia Perin, making it 3-1 in the 65th minute, Roma appeared to have firm control.

Juventus mounted a comeback through their substitutes. Jeremie Boga’s volley in the 78th minute narrowed the gap, setting up a nail-biting conclusion. During added time, a free-kick was headed on, finding Gatti, who emphatically struck the ball past Mile Svilar to finalize a chaotic draw.

Cremonese 0-2 AC Milan: Rossoneri secure late triumph

AC Milan managed to clinch a 2-0 victory against Cremonese with late goals.

The initial half presented scoring opportunities for both sides. Cremonese commenced energetically, with Jari Vandeputte’s early crosses causing difficulties, while Jamie Vardy and Federico Bonazzoli both sent shots off target.

Milan’s prime chance fell to Rafael Leao, who was released one-on-one by Youssouf Fofana, but he dragged his shot wide of the near post.

Milan’s offensive pressure intensified after the restart, yet clear-cut opportunities remained scarce. Cremonese came closest when Vandeputte’s deep free-kick located Sebastiano Luperto, whose downward header was parried away by a quick reflex save from Mike Maignan.

As time dwindled, Milan finally achieved the breakthrough in the 89th minute. A concise corner routine concluded with Luka Modric lofting a cross into the penalty area, Koni De Winter flicking it on, and Strahinja Pavlovic precisely guiding the ball into the net at the far post.

Cremonese pressed forward during stoppage time and were caught on the counter. Christopher Nkunku unselfishly squared the ball for Leao to tap into an unguarded net, securing the valuable points.

Marseille 3-2 Lyon: Aubameyang double secures victory

Real Madrid and Brazil forward Endrick

Marseille scored twice within the final 10 minutes to secure a 3-2 triumph over Lyon in Ligue 1.

Lyon began with greater sharpness, taking the lead within three minutes. Endrick created space centrally and passed the ball to Corentin Tolisso, who finished left-footed high into the net, granting the visitors an early advantage.

Despite Marseille’s dominance in possession, Lyon maintained their threat on the counter-attack. Geronimo Rulli thwarted Endrick and Roman Yaremchuk prior to the interval, preserving the one-goal deficit at half-time.

The home side found their equalizer seven minutes after the restart. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg laid the ball into the path of Igor Paixao, who struck from a distance into the top corner to level the score.

The momentum shifted, but Lyon regained their lead in the 76th minute when substitute Remi Himbert finished low across Rulli after being released by Endrick on a rapid break.

Marseille refused to concede. Aubameyang brought the score to 2-2 in the 81st minute, reacting fastest after a corner and firing into the bottom right corner.

Deep into additional time, with six extra minutes played, Marseille launched another offensive. Ethan Nwaneri led the counter and squared the ball for Aubameyang, who converted from close range to finalize the comeback.
