Demotion to a lower division remains a prospect for Tottenham, and no one is disputing this, states Tudor.

Igor Tudor discloses that Tottenham’s squad members have commenced discussions regarding a potential descent from the league, affirming that no individual is evading the reality of their intense struggle to preserve their top-tier status.

Spurs are set to welcome Crystal Palace the following evening in another critically significant encounter, as they pursue their inaugural victory in the Premier League since a 1-0 success at Selhurst Park on December 28.

This dismal streak has caused them to fall to 16th in the standings and resulted in Thomas Frank losing his position.

Previous Juventus manager Tudor was brought in on a temporary basis but has not achieved a promising beginning, experiencing consecutive losses to Arsenal and Fulham. These outcomes place Tottenham merely four points above the relegation places.

When questioned about whether there had been discussions among the players regarding potential descent, the Croatian replied: “To some extent. They have commenced conversations on the matter a little bit now.”

“Every individual comprehends the predicament. There is an issue if one fails to understand. My role is to alleviate the burden, but the players’ responsibility is to acknowledge the existing strain.”

“There is genuine strain prevalent. Individuals need to earn a livelihood for their families and are employed in professions such as doctors, who perform surgeries and make critical choices concerning mortality – that constitutes genuine pressure.”

“We simply must be prepared to embrace this and rise to the occasion. We must be ready to declare ‘we are capable of this’ to avoid lagging. We are obligated to assume accountability and possess the bravery to confront this.”

“This represents the optimal approach, and indeed, the sole method to achieve it.”

It’s acceptable to be irate after a loss – Tottenham manager Tudor

Tudor appeared disheartened following the weekend reversal at Craven Cottage but maintained that it was permissible to experience frustration after a loss.

He remarked: “I feel more composed now. Naturally, there were emotions and some dismay subsequent to the match because we are striving diligently with the players regarding their necessary actions, yet the desired outcome wasn’t achieved.”

“Certainly, it was somewhat disheartening, but that is how we ought to feel [after an encounter such as that]. We need to be irate and disheartened. I will not be the individual who claims all is flawless, grins and behaves as if nothing occurred.”

“Additionally, it pertains to me, individually, conveying a signal to everyone that I refuse to tolerate the circumstances – but we must progress. We had a brief yet productive interval to get ready for this next game, and I have observed the guys respond commendably.”

“We need to maintain a hopeful outlook concerning tomorrow’s fixture. We compete on our own turf against a formidable opponent, but we’re within our arena and before our supporters.”

‘Tottenham must maintain faith’

Tudor maintains assurance that Spurs can distance themselves from the bottom and states that it is his responsibility to maximize the potential of his underperforming roster.

“We must possess conviction that we have sufficient aptitude to achieve this [preserve our top-flight status],” he further commented.

“My objective is to impart both aspects to the players; this is the nature of my role in this sport. I am endeavoring to influence the players in various manners.”

“I’ve observed a strong readiness for transformation. We obviously require something to change, and I have perceived minor advancements.”

“Tomorrow we need to persist in the path I deem necessary to follow and deliver a strong showing as a collective.”

Tottenham severely depleted once more for Palace encounter

Tottenham continues to contend with an extensive casualty roster – Djed Spence will not be back against Palace – while no new information was provided concerning Destiny Udogie or Dejan Kulusevski, who are thought to be nearing complete recovery.

“We are awaiting patiently for other players to return [from injury] and contribute to the squad, much like Pedro [Porro] appeared in the previous match and instantly it was evident that he offers value to his colleagues,” stated Tudor.

“Therefore, it is crucial to have a complete contingent because every team in the Premier League would falter missing 7, 8 or 10 players. Until then, we will persist in efforts to improve aspects.”
