In the humorous short play, featured on the inaugural British broadcast of Saturday Night Live, the impersonated Starmer appears to become agitated and endeavors to evade answering a call from Trump, exclaiming: “Good heavens, what if Donald berates me?”

Further into the comedic piece, the performer embodying Starmer terminates the call with Trump and declares: “Oh blast that frightening, formidable, remarkable president. Why is he so exceedingly challenging to converse with?”

For Starmer, the monetary dangers stemming from Trump’s war in Iran represent a grave concern, threatening to derail his initiatives and prompting cabinet members to weigh a financial rescue package for families and enterprises impacted by the spike in energy prices.

The head of government will on Monday assemble a gathering of the designated “Cobra” crisis panel to explore possibilities, with Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey among those attending.

Rachel Reeves, the finance minister, Ed Miliband, the minister for energy, and Yvette Cooper, the foreign affairs minister, are also slated to be present.
