On Tuesday, Epic Games disclosed the termination of 1,000 staff members, attributing the decision to a drop in Fortnite player involvement.
In a message circulated to personnel, CEO Tim Sweeney conceded, “We have encountered difficulties in consistently providing the unique Fortnite appeal each season.”
The memo commenced, stating: “Today, we are reducing our workforce by more than 1000 Epic staff members.” “I regret that we find ourselves in this position once more.
