The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating an incident wherein an Amazon supply drone struck an overhead web cable in Texas, the company confirmed to FOX Enterprise.

An Amazon MK30 drone, with registration quantity N139PA, hit the cable in Waco, Texas, at about 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 18, in accordance with the FAA.

The FAA advised FOX Enterprise in October that the drones concerned had been MK30 drones that “collided with the growth of a crane.” No accidents had been reported.

In 2023, Amazon – in partnership with Amazon Pharmacy – started delivering prescription medicines through drone to prospects in Faculty Station, Texas.
