## Urgent Child Safety Alert: Popular Teething Toys Recalled Amid Severe Choking Risks

Over 6,000 units of a widely available teething toy, sold exclusively on Amazon, are being urgently recalled following a concerning number of choking incidents, some with potentially devastating outcomes. Federal safety watchdogs have linked the Yetonamr pull-string teething toys to dozens of reports where children have struggled to breathe, prompting a stern warning about severe injury and even fatality.

### A Design Flaw Posing Grave Danger

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for approximately 6,800 Yetonamr pull-string teething toys, citing critical non-compliance with mandatory toy safety regulations. The core issue lies with the silicone pull strings on these toys. Experts warn these strings are dangerously undersized, allowing them to extend too far into a child’s throat and potentially become lodged, creating a serious choking hazard.

The agency has already received 32 reports of children choking on these toys, underscoring the immediate and severe risk they pose. Regulators stress that this design flaw can lead to acute respiratory distress, presenting a significant threat to a child’s well-being and, in the worst cases, can be fatal.

### Identifying the Recalled Product and Its Availability

The hazardous teething toys were sold solely through Amazon.com from June to October 2025, with prices ranging from $10 to $16. Manufactured in China, these products were imported by Longyan Xinluo District Guiheng E-Commerce Co. Ltd., operating as Longyanguiheng.

Consumers can identify the recalled Yetonamr toys by their distinctive appearance: an off-white, disc-shaped body featuring either a vibrant red or blue ball at its center. Six long, multicolored silicone pull-string “tentacles” pass through this central ball, accompanied by three free-spinning rings and soft push buttons integrated into the disc. The packaging for these specific toys lists model number 688-59.

### Immediate Action Required for Parents and Caregivers

The CPSC has strongly advised parents and caregivers to **immediately cease using these teething toys** and ensure they are kept completely out of reach from children.

To comply with the recall and ensure safety, consumers are instructed to:
1. **Cut and discard** all six silicone string tentacles from the toy.
2. **Permanently mark** the main body of the toy by writing “DESTROYED” on it with an indelible marker.
3. **Email a photograph** of the destroyed product to the company as proof of destruction.

This critical recall officially commenced on January 22nd. FOX Business has reportedly sought comments from both Amazon and Longyan Xinluo District Guiheng E-Commerce Co. Ltd. regarding this pressing safety concern.
