Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated Friday his division is working to chop off federal advantages to unlawful immigrants on the path of President Donald Trump.

Bessent wrote in a publish on X that “we’re working to chop off federal advantages to unlawful aliens and protect them for U.S. Residents.”

He stated the Treasury “introduced that it’ll challenge proposed laws clarifying that the refunded parts of sure particular person earnings tax advantages are not obtainable to unlawful and different non-qualified aliens, protecting the Earned Earnings Tax Credit score, the Further Little one Tax Credit score, the American Alternative Tax Credit score, and the Saver’s Match Credit score.”

Bessent added in a follow-up publish, “When you’re right here illegally, there is not any place for you in our monetary system.

The Treasury’s Monetary Crimes Enforcement Community (FinCEN) introduced Friday that it’s issuing an alert to monetary establishments to stop unlawful aliens from exploiting the U.S. monetary system by transferring illicitly obtained funds.
