The Atlanta Braves designated nine-time All-Star reliever Craig Kimbrel for project Saturday.
Kimbrel, 37, made his season debut Friday evening and allowed one hit in a scoreless seventh inning in Atlanta’s 5-4 10-inning loss at San Francisco. The suitable-hander had one stroll and one strikeout and threw 14 pitches.
Kimbrel, who started his profession in Atlanta in 2010, was referred to as up from Triple-A Gwinnett previous to Friday’s recreation in opposition to the Giants. He signed a minor league take care of the Braves in March.
