Your information to what Trump’s second time period means for Washington, enterprise and the world
Harvard College has sued Donald Trump’s administration for a second time, after the Division of Homeland Safety barred the college from enrolling worldwide college students.
The lawsuit marks an escalation within the battle between the elite establishment and the administration. Harvard president Alan Garber mentioned in a letter on Friday that the college had filed a criticism, and a movement for a short lived restraining order would comply with.
Garber described the administration’s transfer in opposition to worldwide college students on Thursday as a part of a collection of actions “to retaliate in opposition to Harvard for our refusal to give up our tutorial independence”.
“We condemn this illegal and unwarranted motion,” he added.
The DHS didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
