GREEN BAY, Wis. — Do not inform Matt LaFleur that Friday is Halloween. The Inexperienced Bay Packers head coach does not give a you-know-what.
Apparently, there had been behind-the-scenes chatter about Halloween in coaches’ places of work Friday, which concerned, amongst others, LaFleur and his chief of employees, Darryl Franklin.
Packers vice chairman of communications Jason Wahlers clearly was in on the bit as nicely, based mostly on LaFleur’s reply.
“[It’s] Halloween, huh?” LaFleur started. “We have a giant dialogue with my assistant Darryl. I used to be like, ‘I do not give a s— if it is Halloween, all proper? We’re making an attempt to win a recreation. Interval.’ Properly achieved, Wahlers. It is a Friday within the Nationwide Soccer League, that is what day it’s.”
And that is how Friday’s information convention concluded.
The Packers (5-1-1) play the Carolina Panthers (4-4) on Sunday at Lambeau Area.
