Sheffield United have parted firm with Chris Wilder and named Ruben Selles as his substitute.
Wilder returned to Bramall Lane for a second spell in December 2023 having led the membership to the Premier League from League One throughout his first stint between 2016 and 2021.
The Blades had been relegated on the finish of that season and missed out in a decent race with Leeds United and Burnley within the race for automated promotion from the Championship final time period.
United then suffered play-off heartbreak at Wembley as they had been crushed 2-1 by Sunderland in final month’s remaining.
Wilder departs the South Yorkshire outfit with a win proportion of 43.59 and 1.47 factors per marketing campaign, in comparison with 46.70 and 1.61 from his first spell.
Talking to United’s official web site, Wilder stated: “It’s with nice remorse that my time at Sheffield United has come to an finish. I’d prefer to thank Stephen Bettis and Prince Abdullah for bringing me again to the membership and giving me the chance to rebuild the staff and take this nice membership ahead.
