Los Angeles Dodgers celebrity Shohei Ohtani will play for Workforce Japan within the 2026 World Baseball Traditional, he introduced on social media Monday night time.
Japan will probably be seeking to repeat after successful gold within the 2023 Traditional. Ohtani gained the event’s MVP award and memorably struck out former teammate Mike Trout for the ultimate out of the deciding recreation in opposition to Workforce USA.
Ohtani, who returned to the mound this previous season after not pitching for almost two years following a second restore of his ulnar collateral ligament. He didn’t say in his publish whether or not he can be pitching for Japan.

Ohtani is coming off a second-straight World Collection title with the Dodgers and was awarded his fourth MVP award earlier this month.
