Baylor defensive lineman Alex Foster, 18, died early Wednesday whereas residence in Mississippi, the group introduced.
Foster, from Greenville, Mississippi, redshirted the 2024 season at Baylor and went by apply this spring. Baylor stated he died unexpectedly in a single day, with no additional particulars.
“We’re heartbroken by the sudden lack of Alex Foster, a beloved member of our soccer household,” Baylor coach Dave Aranda and athletic director Mack Rhoades stated in a joint assertion. “Our deepest condolences are with Alex’s household and all who liked him, as we raise them up in prayer now and within the days to come back. … Alex’s reminiscence will perpetually be a part of our hearts and this program.”
Aranda posted a separate message on X, including, “Our hearts are damaged, and our prayers are together with his household, pals and all those that liked him so deeply.”
Foster, who was listed at 6-foot-5 and 292 kilos, performed highschool soccer for St. Joseph Catholic College in Madison, Mississippi. He was an ESPN three-star recruit within the 2024 class.
