For its groundbreaking live spectacle slated for June 14 at the White House, the UFC intends to provide 85,000 complimentary admissions to the public.
This past Thursday, UFC CEO Dana White disclosed the organization’s intention to distribute 85,000 tickets for an open-air spectator event at Washington’s Ellipse. The bouts themselves, christened “Freedom Fights 250” to commemorate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, are scheduled to unfold nearby, specifically on the White House’s South Lawn.
“A park is situated immediately adjacent,” White stated. “We will be issuing passes to 85,000 attendees within the Ellipse area, and these admissions are complimentary. Details on the distribution method will be revealed shortly, however, attendees should make arrangements to visit Washington, D.C., for this occasion.”
The main attraction of the gathering is slated to be a clash for the lightweight championship, pitting reigning champion Ilia Topuria against interim titleholder Justin Gaethje. This event conveniently coincides with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.
Alex Pereira, a UFC champion across two divisions, aims to claim a historic third championship as he confronts Ciryl Gane for the interim title in the heavyweight category, serving as the secondary featured bout.
