Finland girls’s nationwide crew supervisor has apologised for mistakenly calling up a long-retired 51-year-old for this week’s recreation towards Serbia.
When submitting the lineup, supervisor Outi Saarinen mistakenly entered former participant Stina Ruuskanen as a substitute of 23-year-old Djurgarden defender Nanne Ruuskanen.
The error was not found till previous deadline.
Ruuskanen, who obtained her call-up 29 years after taking part in two senior internationals for Finland, took the mix-up in good humour.

“I am positively prepared if the decision comes! Simply yesterday I used to be taking part in in a passion league match … so my recreation really feel is nice,” she instructed the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat.
The youthful Ruuskanen, who is not any relation, was unable to participate within the UEFA Nations League match, a 1-1 attract Helsinki on Tuesday.
“Nanne was, after all, upset however took the information very nicely contemplating the circumstances,” Saarinen stated in a press release from the Finnish Soccer Affiliation.
