INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts proprietor Jim Irsay, who had led the staff since 1997 and presided over one of many storied franchise’s best eras, has died. He was 65.
“We’re devastated to announce our beloved Proprietor & CEO, Jim Irsay, handed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon,” Colts COO Pete Ward mentioned in an announcement launched by the staff. “Jim’s dedication and fervour for the Indianapolis Colts along with his generosity, dedication to the group, and most significantly, his love for his household had been unsurpassed.”
Irsay is survived by his daughters Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson, his ex-wife and his daughters’ mom, Meg Coyle, and 10 grandchildren.
