The Cleveland Browns are signing veteran security Damontae Kazee, a league supply confirmed to ESPN on Monday.
Kazee, 31, spent the previous three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, beginning 5 video games throughout his stint with the staff.
The Browns wanted security depth after dropping two contributors this offseason. The staff launched Juan Thornhill, who later signed a one-year take care of the Steelers. Rodney McLeod, who spent the previous two seasons in Cleveland, is retiring after 13 seasons within the NFL.
In December 2023, Kazee was suspended for the ultimate three video games of the common season with out pay after a tough hit on Indianapolis Colts huge receiver Michael Pittman Jr. that landed the Colts receiver within the concussion protocol. Kazee was suspended for repeated violation of guidelines meant to guard the well being and security of gamers.
A fifth-round choose of the Atlanta Falcons within the 2017 draft, Kazee has began 63 video games with the Falcons, Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. He has recorded 17 interceptions, 24 move breakups and 363 tackles in his profession.
