MINNEAPOLIS — Byron Buxton hit the second-longest house run within the majors this season, a 479-foot, three-run shot for the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday evening towards the Texas Rangers.
Buxton related off Rangers starter Jack Leiter within the third inning, with the ball touchdown within the second deck in heart subject. It was the longest of Buxton’s 144 profession house runs.
Mike Trout has the longest this season, a 484-footer for the Los Angeles Angels on April 19.
Buxton moved into sole possession of fifteenth place on the Twins’ profession house run record, breaking a tie with Corridor of Famer Joe Mauer.
