Netflix has designated wholesome content as a pivotal component of its current gaming strategy. Now, it’s augmenting these efforts with the introduction of a new application. Dubbed Netflix Playground, this app specifically concentrates on games tailored for children aged eight and under. Consistent with the rest of Netflix’s gaming collection, Playground titles are included within a standard Netflix subscription, completely devoid of advertisements or in-app purchases.
Currently, Playground is accessible in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, the Philippines, and New Zealand, with its expansion to the rest of the globe planned for April 28th. The initial collection of games predominantly features titles adapted from beloved children’s programs such as Peppa Pig and Sesame Street (the latter also now available for streaming on Netflix). John Derderian, Netflix’s VP of Animation Series + Kids & Family TV, conveyed in a statement, “We are developing an integrated platform for exploration, education, and amusement.”
