Mohamed Salah ought to unite with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, instead of heading to MLS.
Mohamed Salah has received a caution against a potential transfer to Major League Soccer as he deliberates his subsequent team.
Last week, Salah declared his intention to depart Liverpool at the conclusion of the current season, following nine years brimming with accolades at Anfield.
The ultimate location for his next venture remains undisclosed, as numerous teams across Europe and beyond pursue the Egyptian international. While Inter Miami has been associated with a transfer for the 33-year-old, who has netted 255 times in 435 appearances for Liverpool, a transition to the Saudi Pro League appears to be the most probable scenario.
Nevertheless, a move to MLS would not constitute the correct choice, in the opinion of Ibrahim Hassan, Egypt’s national squad director, who posits that Salah would recede into anonymity, much like Lionel Messi.
“From my personal standpoint, I would favor him remaining in Europe,” Hassan communicated to On Sports. “I’ve been informed of proposals from Paris Saint‑Germain, Bayern Munich and various teams within the Italian league.”
“A relocation to Major League Soccer? He would be considerably too removed from public attention. You wouldn’t recall Salah any more than I currently recall [Lionel] Messi; I don’t even make an effort to observe him.”

According to Hassan, transfer to Saudi Arabia and align with Ronaldo.
Hassan, the identical sibling of Egypt’s coach Hossam Hassan, would significantly prefer Salah to venture to Saudi Arabia, remarking: “Should he not get proposals from European clubs, then a shift to the Saudi league would represent a viable alternative, particularly with prominent figures like Cristiano [Ronaldo] present.”
Jamie Carragher, an erstwhile Liverpool defender, is convinced that departing Europe’s premier divisions would constitute an error for Salah.
During an appearance on The Overlap podcast, Carragher stated: “I believe Mo Salah, given his ambition akin to Ronaldo’s, isn’t quite ready for a move to Saudi Arabia. I envision him playing in Italy for one of the major clubs. I simply feel that one’s professional journey concludes upon relocating there [Saudi Arabia]. I think he will still be focused on his Champions League statistics or the total number of goals he can achieve.”
“I still hold the opinion that he believes, ‘I remain among the elite players, and my departure now doesn’t signify the conclusion of my career at the highest echelon; I still possess contributions to offer’.”
Salah is presently out of action due to a physical ailment and was absent from Egypt’s exhibition victory against Saudi Arabia last Friday.
His comeback is anticipated for the weekend when Liverpool are set to confront Manchester City in the FA Cup.
