HMS Prince of Wales, the United Kingdom’s Fleet Flagship, has arrived in Glenmallan, Scotland, to load ammunition and supplies as it prepares for Operation Firecrest, a significant Royal Navy deployment to the North Atlantic and High North. In 2025, HMS Prince of Wales spearheaded the UK Carrier Strike Group during an extensive eight-month deployment to the Indo-Pacific under Operation Highmast. This deployment saw the execution of over 1,000 F-35 sorties and engaged with more than 30 nations, underscoring the UK’s global reach and diplomatic influence, before her return to Portsmouth.
