The Strait of Hormuz crisis, which is unsettling worldwide financial systems, prompted Gulf Oil’s chief energy consultant, Tom Kloza, to appear on ‘Mornings with Maria’ and analyze the dramatic escalation in crude costs.

As governments rush to curb a significant jump in petroleum rates, sparked by the Iranian hostilities, G7 finance ministers are reportedly poised to deliberate a synchronized deployment of strategic crude stockpiles on Monday.

Officials are slated to conduct a teleconference with International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol to evaluate the repercussions of the hostilities and contemplate a combined discharge of crude from emergency stockpiles, per the Financial Times.

The publication indicated that three G7 nations, including America, have voiced approval for utilizing these reserves. Certain U.S. officials consider a prospective discharge of 300 million to 400 million barrels—approximately one-fourth to one-third of the IEA system’s governmental stores—to be suitable.

Fox News Digital’s inquiry for a statement received no prompt reply from the White House.
