Peculiar video has documented the frenzied instant when an automated server seemed to malfunction wildly at an eatery near San Jose, California. It forcefully struck a patron’s meal and dishes without warning, then spontaneously launched into a sequence of erratic dance moves.
This unusual event was documented in a widely shared clip originating from Cupertino, at a Haidilao hot pot branch. This establishment is recognized for incorporating artificial intelligence and robotic technology to aid in optimizing processes, such as bringing meals to diners.
The footage reveals the robot seemed to initiate a performance close to patrons before abruptly slamming an adjacent surface, causing dishes, eating utensils, and sauces to scatter from it.
Employees were then observed attempting to control the errant automaton as it persisted in its movements with heightened vigor, seemingly energizing the onlookers with its frantic motions.

The automaton persisted for an additional sixty seconds, its manipulator smeared with sauce, while exhibiting a jovial demeanor.
Management reportedly clarified that the automaton’s abrupt disturbance in the eating area resulted from human oversight, rather than an algorithmic fault. The machine was merely positioned too near the table when it commenced its performance.

“On this occasion, the automaton was positioned nearer to a meal table at a patron’s special appeal, which is not its usual functional environment,” Haidilao conveyed in a declaration, NBC reported. “The confined area impacted its locomotion throughout the display.”
These automatons, which are more prevalent in China than in foreign territories, have been employed by the firm headquartered in Beijing for an extended period.
