Representatives Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.) and Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.) conversed on ‘The Bottom Line’ about President Donald Trump’s forthcoming State of the Union address and the potential refusal of some Democrats to attend the event.

President Donald Trump intends to formally demand that technology corporations pay higher rates for electricity used by new data centers, as reported by The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.

Trump is anticipated to issue this directive during his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening. He plans to unveil new “rate payer protection pledges” that his administration has secured through negotiations with leading tech companies. These commitments will mandate that tech firms cover increased power expenses in localities where new AI data facilities are constructed, officials informed the Journal.

The President’s speech to a combined session of Congress is projected to place economic matters prominently, featuring attendees from working households alongside an evidence-based argument for affordability, in addition to several fiscal policy declarations.

Trump is scheduled to commence his address at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday evening from the U.S. Capitol. The Journal noted that the President made revisions to the speech during the weekend.

“President Trump’s State of the Union Address will commemorate 250 magnificent years of our nation’s sovereignty and distinction, emphasizing astonishing narratives of American heroes throughout the speech,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt informed Fox News Digital prior to the address.

Among Trump’s principal priorities, Fox News Digital learned, are promoting Trump Accounts, advocating for fiscal reductions in the “big, beautiful bill,” reducing medication costs, and working to facilitate home ownership for U.S. households. The president is also anticipated to make unrevealed economic policy declarations during his speech.

The economy remains a primary worry for the electorate as they prepare to elect a new legislative body in November, a move that aligns with Democrats’ successful 2025 electoral approach focused on “cost-effectiveness.”

A White House representative informed Fox News Digital that Trump extended invitations to individuals linked to the diverse financial programs mentioned in his speech, including Catherine Rayner from Norfolk, Virginia. For five years, Rayner and her spouse have been contending with issues related to conception and in vitro fertilization. Rayner became the pioneering beneficiary of the portal when it launched earlier in February.

Through the initiative, the couple’s expenditure on fertility medications decreased from approximately $4,000 to $500, as understood by Fox News Digital.

EJ Antoni, the principal economist at the Heritage Foundation, converses on ‘The Bottom Line’ about President Donald Trump implementing 15% worldwide levies after the Supreme Court decided against his tariff policy.

The president is also anticipated to utilize his familiar popular appeal in the speech, a White House official told Fox News Digital. This includes plans to decry “vested interests” that have been firmly established in power, despite “exploiting” and neglecting laboring citizens.
