The Premier has affirmed that the United Kingdom will permit the United States to utilize British military installations for what he characterized as a precise and constrained protective objective.

In a broadcast statement, Keir Starmer declared that Britain did not partake in the preliminary assaults on Iran and would refrain from joining aggressive engagement. Nevertheless, he verified that British warplanes are already conducting safeguarding operations and that additional measures have been implemented to secure British lives and regional allies.

“I addressed you regarding the circumstances in the Gulf and clarified that the United Kingdom played no part in the attacks against Iran. This fact persists.”

Starmer noted that in the preceding 48 hours, Iran had unleashed continuous assaults throughout the area, encompassing strikes on sites where UK citizens were situated.

“They’ve targeted airfields and accommodations where British individuals are residing. This is unequivocally a perilous circumstance.”

He stated there are a minimum of 200,000 UK nationals in the region, comprising inhabitants, vacationing families, and individuals passing through, and implored them to enroll with the Foreign Ministry and adhere to authorized travel guidance.

“Our military, deployed throughout the region, is likewise being jeopardized by Iran’s activities. The previous day, Iran struck a military outpost in Bahrain, barely missing British staff.”

While restating that the UK would not participate in aggressive assaults, the Prime Minister affirmed that allied nations in the Gulf had sought supplementary assistance and that the United States had requested authorization to employ British installations to aim at missile facilities.

“The United States has sought authorization to utilize British bases for that precise and restricted protective aim. We have opted to approve this request to avert Iran launching projectiles across the region, slaying innocent civilians, endangering British citizens, and striking nations that have played no part.”

Starmer stated the lawful foundation for the determination stemmed from mutual self-preservation and the safeguarding of UK citizens, further noting that a synopsis of the administration’s legal counsel would be disclosed.

He additionally affirmed that British aircraft are operating as components of synchronized protective actions and have successfully thwarted Iranian attacks.

“We are not participating in these assaults, but we will persist with our safeguarding efforts in the region.”

Furthermore, the UK will unite specialists from Ukraine alongside British professionals to assist Gulf partners in combating Iranian drone offensives.

Responding to worries regarding intensification, Starmer indicated the government had assimilated the teachings from the Iraq conflict and would abstain from aggressive engagements.

“We did not participate in the preliminary assaults on Iran, and we will not partake in aggressive operations at this time.”

He concluded by characterizing the steps as essential to safeguard British subjects and avert additional regional unrest.
