HENDERSON, Nev. — Esteemed edge rusher Maxx Crosby voiced his unwavering commitment to the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday evening, marking his initial public declarations since the Ravens nullified a transaction that would have transferred him to Baltimore.

“Everything Happens For A Reason,” Crosby communicated in a message posted on X. “Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. Im A Raider. I’m Back. Run That S—.”

Crosby’s online post surfaced mere days after he conveyed an emotional goodbye to the Raiders, a team he has represented since 2019, and articulated enthusiasm about aligning with the Ravens following their agreement to acquire him in return for two first-round draft selections, notably the 14th overall pick in 2026.

On Tuesday night, the Raiders declared that the Ravens “withdrew” from the trade understanding, with insider reports to ESPN indicating medical issues that emerged during a physical examination in Baltimore as the reason.

Crosby, 28, underwent an operation in January to mend a torn meniscus in his left knee. He was cognizant of requiring surgery in the autumn but persisted in playing until the Raiders opted to sideline him for the final two contests of the previous season, a choice that left Crosby displeased.

Crosby’s representative, CJ LaBoy, released a statement via X on Tuesday affirming that Crosby was progressing ahead of schedule in his recuperation and was poised to rejoin the team during the offseason training regimen. He returned to Las Vegas on Wednesday, engaging in workouts at the Raiders’ facility.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, the Ravens, a day after retracting their agreement for Crosby, shifted focus by reaching terms with former Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson on a four-year, $112 million pact.

Las Vegas has fielded inquiries from several clubs regarding Crosby’s availability for a trade and was amenable to potentially restructuring a Crosby deal, according to a source. However, Crosby conveyed on Wednesday night his steadfast dedication to competing for the Raiders.

Despite the cancellation of the Crosby trade, the Raiders are still anticipated to secure all of their free agents and have formally announced agreements for cornerback Eric Stokes (3 years, $30 million), edge rusher Malcolm Koonce (1 year, $11 million), and linebacker Nakobe Dean (3 years, $36 million), as well as their acquisition of former Buffalo Bills slot cornerback Taron Johnson.

Las Vegas also finalized free agent agreements with three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum on a three-year, $81 million contract that includes $60 million guaranteed, ESPN sources revealed; linebacker Quay Walker (3 years, $40.5 million); and edge rusher Kwity Paye (3 years, $48 million); and wide receiver Jalen Nailor (3 years, $35 million).
