Bruno’s Belief: Tudor Feels ‘Support,’ Squad ‘Cares’ After 15 Premier League Defeats

Tottenham associate manager Bruno Saltor has stated that temporary head coach Igor Tudor will undoubtedly be granted more time by Spurs, even as their dreadful performance persists with a 3-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest.

Tudor, who had been dismissed by Juventus earlier in this campaign, has led Spurs to accumulate merely one point from five league fixtures since his appointment as Thomas Frank’s unexpected successor, following Tottenham’s conclusion of the Dane’s eight-month period in charge.

“We sense the backing from everyone at the club, and our sole focus is on how we can assist the squad,” explained Bruno. He handled post-game media responsibilities due to a personal issue impacting Tudor, adding that Tottenham had been “the superior side” prior to Igor Jesus’s initial goal in the 45th minute.

“Every error we commit proves detrimental, and we find ourselves unable to exploit the opposition’s blunders.”

“One could observe the players’ dedication; they are giving their utmost effort. However, currently, it’s proving insufficient, and we must reduce any errors.”

Tottenham Against Forest: The Reason for Bruno’s ‘Confidence’

Bruno, previously Chelsea’s temporary manager, recounted that a 1-1 stalemate at Liverpool last Sunday, where Richarlison netted an equalizer for Spurs in the 90th minute, and a victory at home in the second leg against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, constituted “excellent displays from start to finish.” He further noted that “minor” aspects were hindering his team.

“During the opening period [against Forest], we ought to have been ahead by at least 1-0, if one examines the statistics,” asserted the former Brighton & Hove Albion full-back. “We fashioned definite opportunities.”

“[The supporters] were exceptional from the very beginning of our arrival. They remained until the final minute.”

“They demonstrated their backing, and it proved quite deeply moving for everyone aboard the bus. That is precisely what we require, as presently, all of us share the objective of contending to the finish of the season and remaining in the Premier League – a position this club merits.”

Van de Ven and Spence Changes Deemed ‘Strategic’ by Tottenham

“It was a substitution with the aim of providing greater fluidity on the left flank and increased attacking impetus,” stated Bruno when questioned if Van de Ven was hurt, clarifying that “the entirety of the decision was strategic.”

“The players were influenced by the tempo of the match, and we failed to establish that tempo to fashion additional opportunities.”

“The initial 44 minutes were exceptionally strong – generating opportunities and penetrating the penalty area. However, in the latter period, we were incapable of handling the pressure of the match.”
