Houston Texans’ offensive lineman, Ed Ingram, is set to bypass free agency after having committed to stay with the team under a three-year contract valued at $37.5 million, as reported by ESPN and NFL Network.
This agreement, reached mere hours prior to the commencement of the NFL’s free-agent discussion period on Monday, is structured with $23.5 million in guaranteed funds, informed sources indicate.
Ingram, aged 27, was anticipated to be among the premier interior offensive linemen available in this year’s free agency pool. His presence is expected to fortify a significantly restructured offensive line for the Texans, a team which had previously moved two key starters from the prior season — namely tackle Tytus Howard and guard Juice Scruggs — through distinct transactions earlier in the current month.
Initially, Houston procured Ingram from the Minnesota Vikings during the previous offseason. While he was sidelined in 2024 during his tenure with the Vikings, he truly flourished with Houston in 2025.
Ingram, who was a second-round selection in the 2022 draft, registered the 12th-lowest pressure concession rate (6.4) for guards who completed a minimum of 400 pass-blocking plays, as per Next Gen Stats data.
Ingram has participated in 62 contests — with 55 of those being starts — across his four seasons in the NFL.
