Major League Baseball adopted the ABS review mechanism for the 2026 season, which enables players to dispute a pitch judgment made by the home plate official. Every squad is granted two appeals at the outset of the match, and solely hitters, hurlers, and receivers are permitted to contest a judgment. Should a side prevail in an appeal, they retain their right to continue disputing; however, if a team makes two erroneous challenges, it relinquishes its appeals for the duration of the game.
Displayed below are the ABS appeal framework classifications for hitters, hurlers, receivers, squads, and arbiters, pertinent to the 2026 Major League Baseball campaign.
