The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend is underway, with celebrations unfolding across Los Angeles.
The league’s premier athletes will gather for an unprecedented seventh NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. This year commemorates the 75th yearly installment of the All-Star Game — and it promises to be truly unique.
The Los Angeles region last hosted the bustling weekend of activities in 2018.
A pair of squads comprised of American athletes will contend against a single international contingent in a tournament featuring a round-robin format, comprising four contests, each lasting 12 minutes. At least eight players will be on each roster. Game 1 will see Team A compete against Team B, with the victor advancing to confront Team C. The defeated squad from Game 1 will then challenge Team C in the second-to-last match. The two teams boasting the best standings will square off in the final.
All-Star Weekend commenced on Friday with the celebrity game at the Kia Forum in Inglewood. Following this, the Rising Stars competition occurred at Intuit Dome, with Team Vince overpowering Team Melo to claim the title in a fiercely contested match. The HBCU Classic between Hampton and North Carolina A&T’s men’s basketball teams concluded the evening at Kia Forum.
The agenda for Saturday evening includes the three-point shooting and slam dunk challenges, in addition to the reintroduction of the Shooting Stars competition, which will feature four former NBA players — Richard Hamilton, Allan Houston, Corey Maggette and Ron Harper Sr.
