Following a tenure of nearly four decades at Microsoft, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox and CEO of Microsoft Gaming, is set to leave the corporation, alongside Xbox president Sarah Bond. This impending departure was officially revealed on February 20th via a memo from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The communication disclosed that “Phil Spencer made the choice to retire from the company last year, and we have since been engaged in discussions concerning succession planning.”
