The Tottenham manager also commented on his choice to deploy goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who gifted the home side two scores before his replacement in the 17th minute. Tudor was queried if he believed it was a sound strategy to give the keeper his inaugural Champions League start in such a demanding game.
“No, having witnessed the outcome, it stands as the erroneous call. However, it was the proper call initially,” Tudor conveyed to TNT Sports.
“Given the altered context of the tournament, it felt like the opportune time. Regrettably, what transpired, transpired. I had never replaced a goalkeeper after 20 minutes.”
“It was a peculiar match, truly peculiar. We conceded three scores. We even began well, then the difficulties plagued us in three instances.”
“Quite bizarre. Truly atypical. It sapped our morale. We had an opening to make it 4-2, then we allowed a score for 5-1.”
The Croatian also conveyed an apology to the followers after the team’s subpar showing.
“We offer apologies to the supporters and to everyone. This is a challenging period. Everything appears to be turning sour. Minor errors, we bear the cost. Simply unbelievable.”
“Even that incident at the end, with two players [clashing]. It seemed as if everything was conspiring against us.”
Tudor asserted he had seldom encountered comparable situations during his football career, admitting that the chain of incidents was perplexing to account for.
“I must continue to toil. Less verbose, maintain attention on what is within our control. It’s incredibly challenging to elucidate all these occurrences; this is the initial occasion I’ve witnessed such events in my 15-year career.”

“I’m concentrated on the issues, and the squad as well. We must remain optimistic.”
Tudor was also questioned concerning his personal prospects and whether the team’s leadership would persist in supporting him, amidst escalating scrutiny regarding Tottenham’s current state.
“It’s not concerning my person. We must remain composed. Reduced chatter.”
“Preferable to speak less. This is not the opportune time to attempt a comprehensive elucidation.”
