Google is broadening the availability of Search Live, a function enabling users to seek information via spoken commands and visual input. This AI-powered search assistant is now accessible in over 200 nations and regions, alongside many different languages, as per a statement issued on Thursday.

Last September, Search Live was extensively launched in the US, permitting users to direct their mobile device’s camera towards an object and vocally inquire about it, for instance, queries about assembling a storage shelf. Subsequently, the intelligent helper provides an auditory answer, accompanied by web links containing relevant data it locates.

Google states it is driving the worldwide rollout of Search Live through its novel Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, an AI model specializing in audio processing, which it describes as “intrinsically fluent in multiple languages.” This fresh model additionally presents enhancements in response velocity and delivers “smoother and more user-centric interactions,” as per Google’s statement.

To experience Search Live, users may launch the Google application on either Android or iOS platforms and press the “Live” icon located below the search field. Furthermore, it is also obtainable via Google Lens functionality.

Beyond this enhancement, Google is deploying Translate’s live translation capability for iOS devices. Consequently, iPhone owners are empowered to utilize the application for instantaneous speech capture and listen to the translated output through their headsets. This capability is furthermore extending into additional regions, such as Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.
