The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of over 12,000 adult bed rails due to entrapment risks, which could result in grave harm or even fatalities.
In a notice issued last week, the CPSC stated that the recall pertains to roughly 12,355 Vive Health Bed Rails.
The commission cautioned that when these bed rails are affixed to a bed, individuals face a “serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation.” This danger arises if users become caught either within the bed rail itself or between the rail and the mattress edge.

Furthermore, the commission noted that the bed rails are missing the necessary danger alert labels.
These products were offered for sale digitally on Amazon.com and ViveHealth.com from August 2023 through December 2025, with prices ranging from $45 to $80. Importantly, only bed rails acquired subsequent to August 21, 2023, are encompassed by this withdrawal.

Vive Health represents merely the most recent firm to declare a withdrawal of adult bed barriers.
In the previous month, roughly 26,200 Sangohe brand mobile adult bed rails, available for purchase digitally on Amazon and Walmart, were withdrawn due to the identical “entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation.”
An analogous withdrawal was also announced in December for approximately 12,000 JOKOSIS-labeled bed rails.
