Reports indicate that two delivery automatons impacted transit stops in Chicago recently, breaking glass sections in distinct occurrences within a span of days.
An initial collision, recorded visually on Sunday, depicts an automated courier nearing a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) transit station along Racine Avenue in West Town before striking forcefully against the structure’s glass pane, as conveyed by FOX 32 Chicago.
Fragments rain down upon the automaton following the collision — known as “Nasir” and managed by Serve Robotics — prior to its halt, FOX 32 stated.

“Having completed over a million miles of dispatches, this marks the initial instance one of our automatons has impacted such a construction,” Coco Robotics informed FOX 32. “Our automatons function at a maximum velocity of approximately 5 miles per hour, and security holds paramount importance in the conception and oversight of our mechanisms.”
Coco affirmed its initiation of an in-house inquiry, describing the collision as a “unique, standalone occurrence” and vowing to avert comparable events.
“We are thankful no individual was injured. We have contacted the firm possessing the waiting area and are assuming complete accountability for the restoration expenses,” Coco stated.
