The Administration has described the extent of unmanned systems procured and supplied for both Ukraine and the British military, opting not to furnish a comprehensive enumeration of extended-range one-way attack drones due to tactical security imperatives.
Responding in writing to ex-Secretary of Defense James Cartlidge, Defence Minister Luke Pollard addressed inquiries regarding the quantity of extended-range one-way attack drones commissioned since July 5, 2024, for both Ukraine and British military units.
Pollard referenced an announcement delivered at the Ukraine Defence Liaison Assembly in October 2025, in which the Secretary of Defense affirmed that 600 million pounds had been allocated by the United Kingdom throughout the year to expedite the shipment of unmanned aircraft to Ukraine.
He stated that over 85,000 combat UAVs were supplied between April and October 2025, in contrast to an annual objective of 100,000 for that fiscal period.
Regarding British military units, Pollard affirmed that the Ministry of Defence had received close to 10,000 unmanned platforms since July 2024.
Nevertheless, he refused to offer additional particulars concerning the precise models or volumes of extended-range one-way offensive drones. He articulated: “Given tactical safety factors, it is crucial to protect against the danger of enemy data compilation regarding the precise, comprehensive tabulation of British military strength, encompassing vehicle counts and categories, hence it would be unsuitable to elaborate further.”
