Even though the Premier League is taking a break for an FA Cup weekend, there’s no shortage of domestic European football action.

Major clashes across La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 were lined up, promising plenty of excitement.

Harry Kane was unavailable for Bayern Munich, with manager Vincent Kompany confirming his absence, but this did not diminish the significance of the match for the Bavarians.

In Italy, Napoli sought a crucial victory to maintain their Serie A aspirations, while Paris Saint-Germain met Monaco for the third time in as many weeks.

You can catch the highlights of all the games here on 101GreatGoals.

Paris Saint-Germain 1-3 Monaco

Monaco delivered an impressive away performance, securing a 3-1 triumph over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1.

The visiting side made a more energetic start and nearly took the lead within five minutes when Denis Zakaria headed over from close range following a cross from Caio Henrique.

Monaco eventually broke the tie in the 27th minute after a costly error by Warren Zaire-Emery inside the PSG penalty area.

Folarin Balogun collected the loose ball, demonstrating good composure to set up Maghnes Akliouche, who slotted a low finish into the near post, giving the visitors the advantage.

PSG pressed forward after the intermission but struggled to convert their opportunities, and Monaco extended their lead in the 55th minute.

Substitute Aleksandr Golovin made an immediate impact, netting just 25 seconds after entering the game. A deflected cross kindly fell to the edge of the area, and the Russian midfielder powerfully struck a composed finish into the bottom corner.

The home team briefly found a glimmer of hope in the 71st minute when Hakimi surged forward before setting up Bradley Barcola, whose close-range shot deflected past Kohn, narrowing the gap.

However, Monaco swiftly re-established their two-goal advantage. After winning possession high up the pitch, Akliouche laid the ball off for Balogun, who unleashed a potent long-range shot that grazed Mendes and flew past Matvey Safonov.

Bayern Munich 4-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayern Munich increased their lead at the summit of the Bundesliga table with a decisive 4-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

The home squad started strongly and believed they had scored in the 11th minute when Lennart Karl finished cleanly, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Bayern eventually broke the stalemate just after the half-hour mark as Luis Diaz connected with a clever lofted pass from Leon Goretzka and volleyed it past Moritz Nicolas.

The host club doubled their lead in first-half added time. A rapid counter-attack concluded with Diaz squaring the ball for Konrad Laimer, who fired it home to give Bayern a comfortable lead at the interval.

Bayern moved further ahead early in the second half after Nicolas Jackson was fouled inside the box by Rocco Reitz.

The Gladbach captain received a red card for the challenge, and Jamal Musiala calmly converted the ensuing penalty, marking his initial league goal since returning from injury.

Jackson then added a fourth in the 79th minute, finishing from close range after Karl delivered a low cross from the right, ending his personal goal drought.

Gladbach managed a late consolation when 17-year-old Wael Mohya struck from close range to become the club’s youngest Bundesliga goal-scorer, but Bayern comfortably secured the outcome to move 14 points clear at the top.

Napoli 2-1 Torino

Napoli secured a 2-1 victory over Torino at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, narrowing the points difference with second-placed AC Milan in the Serie A standings.

The hosts commenced with pace and took the lead in the seventh minute when Alisson Santos received a pass from Leonardo Spinazzola before cutting inside and unleashing a precise shot into the bottom corner.

Napoli controlled possession for much of the initial half and almost extended their lead when Rasmus Hojlund headed over from close range after a dangerous delivery from Matteo Politano.

Napoli increased their advantage in the 68th minute. Spinazzola once more played a crucial role, driving down the left flank before Politano cushioned a header into the path of Eljif Elmas, who confidently finished into the bottom corner.

Torino posed a threat late on and managed to pull a goal back three minutes from time. Substitute Che Adams returned the ball into the penalty area following a corner, allowing Cesare Casadei to head past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, setting up a tense conclusion.

Despite late pressure, Napoli held on to clinch the win.
