NEW YORK — Andre Drummond, center for the Philadelphia 76ers, has incurred a $25,000 penalty from the NBA due to what the league termed an inappropriate gesture made during play.
The sanction was disclosed on Saturday by James Jones, the NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations.
The event transpired on Thursday, with eight seconds remaining in the third quarter of the 76ers’ 139-118 triumph over Sacramento.
According to a report, after sinking a 3-pointer, Drummond reportedly performed a mimed shooting action in the direction of the Kings’ bench.
Drummond concluded the match accumulating 13 points, having converted all three attempts from downtown, along with 11 rebounds.
