NEW YORK — Venezuela’s 3-2 triumph over the United States in the World Baseball Classic final match garnered an audience of 10,784,000 spectators across Fox and Fox Deportes. This figure was almost twice the 5.4 million individuals who witnessed Japan overcome the Americans in the 2023 championship, broadcast on FS1, Fox Deportes, and the network’s digital streaming service.
The broadcaster disclosed on Thursday that Tuesday evening’s contest attracted a mean of 10,228,000 viewers on Fox. This metric significantly outpaced the 4.48 million recorded on FS1 for Japan’s 3-2 victory in 2023, and it also surpassed the ratings for every one of the initial four games of the 2023 World Series involving Texas and San Francisco.
Collectively, the WBC’s various games, aired on Fox, FS1, and FS2, achieved an average viewership of 1,294,000. This represents a twofold increase over the 506,000 average observed for the 2023 competition.
