The cost of Netflix subscriptions has recently increased. Its most budget-friendly, ad-supported membership tier now commands $8.99 per month, an escalation from its previous $7.99. This information comes from a recently updated support page, initially observed by Android Authority. Moreover, the standard and premium subscription packages are also experiencing a surge in their monthly fees, rising from $17.99 to $19.99 and from $24.99 to $26.99, respectively.
Netflix has not articulated its rationale for this particular increase in pricing, unlike its previous explanation which centered on providing “more value for our customers.” The Verge made an inquiry to Netflix for a statement, but an immediate response was not forthcoming.
