“Earlier today, 32 constituent countries of the International Energy Agency collectively consented to President Trump’s appeal to mitigate energy prices through a synchronized distribution of 400 million barrels of petroleum and processed fuels from their individual stockpiles,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced in a Wednesdaydeclaration.

“In furtherance of this endeavor, President Trump sanctioned the Department of Energy to issue 172 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, commencing in the upcoming week. This supply will necessitate approximately 120 days for distribution, according to projected offloading speeds,” Wright observed.
“In contrast to the preceding administration, which rendered America’s petroleum reserves depleted and impaired, the United States has made provisions to amply replenish these national stockpiles with approximately 200 million barrels over the coming year — a quantity 20% greater than will be extracted — and entirely without expense to the public,” he stated in the declaration.
