These workforce reductions are projected to impact multiple crucial departments, such as Reality Labs, Facebook, talent acquisition activities, and sales divisions, the informant stated.
A company representative indicated that the job cuts stem from continuous reorganization initiatives, highlighting that the technology behemoth routinely modifies its employee count to more effectively correspond with its objectives.

The company is also endeavoring to reassign some impacted personnel to alternative positions whenever feasible.
“Divisions throughout Meta routinely reorganize or institute modifications to guarantee their optimal readiness in attaining their objectives,” the spokesperson stated. “Whenever feasible, we are identifying alternative prospects for staff members whose roles might be affected.”
This action occurs amidst Meta encountering economic strain, linked to its substantial commitment to artificial intelligence infrastructure, Reuters reported.

Meta possessed almost 79,000 staff members by December 31st, Reuters indicated.
