Set to celebrate his twentieth birthday on April 24, Griffin was the ninth overall selection in the 2024 draft. The 6-foot-3, 222-pound shortstop demonstrated his prowess last year in the minor leagues, achieving a .333 batting average coupled with a .941 OPS. This year’s preseason camp also saw him deliver remarkable performances, including smashing four home runs over 16 exhibition contests.
Griffin commenced the current campaign with Triple-A Indianapolis, where his initial 16 plate appearances yielded seven base hits, alongside three successful steals.
