A judicial official in Florida on Wednesday approved Tiger Woods’ petition to journey beyond American borders and be admitted to an extensive residential therapy center, as per judicial documents.

Douglas Duncan, Woods’ legal representative, submitted the request for transit on Wednesday, highlighting the athlete’s immediate necessity for an “all-encompassing, highly tailored, and medically cohesive regimen” and seclusion from press and public examination.

Judge Darren Steele of the Martin County Court approved the request subsequent to a remote meeting involving Duncan and Deputy State Prosecutor Caroline Houston on Wednesday.

“According to the Defendant’s attending physician, the endorsement for the overseas rehabilitation center stems from the Defendant’s intricate medical condition and the pressing requirement for a degree of attention that cannot be securely or proficiently administered within the U.S., given that his personal space has been consistently infringed upon,” Duncan penned in the plea.

“Continuous health examination and societal visibility pose considerable impediments to his recovery and could lead to regressions and hinder his complete participation in therapy.”

This past Tuesday, the victor of 15 major championships declared in an announcement that he is “withdrawing temporarily to pursue therapy and prioritize my well-being,” revealing the choice four days subsequent to his apprehension for alleged impaired driving and declining a legitimate examination, originating from an overturning accident in Florida.

Woods submitted a plea of innocence regarding the lesser offenses on Tuesday.

“I comprehend the gravity of my current predicament,” Woods stated in a declaration shared on his online profiles. “I am taking a temporary leave to pursue therapy and concentrate on my well-being. This step is essential for me to place my welfare first and strive for enduring recuperation.

“My resolve is set on dedicating the necessary time to regain a more robust, healthier, and clearer state, in both my private and professional spheres. I value your comprehension and backing, and request discretion for my relatives, dear ones, and myself during this period.”

Within the transit plea, Duncan penned that the undisclosed rehabilitation center abroad will “offer constant observation and the capacity to promptly modify therapeutic actions in a meticulously regulated setting.”

Within a detainment sworn statement issued Tuesday by the Martin County Law Enforcement Agency, Officer Tatiana Levenar noted in a sworn arrest declaration that Woods displayed “excessive perspiration” and that his locomotion appeared “sluggish and unhurried” during her questioning of him.

Levenar documented that Woods informed her he had undergone seven spinal operations and over twenty surgical interventions on his right limb, which he gravely harmed in an automobile collision near Los Angeles in February of 2021.

After Woods took off his eyewear, Levenar observed his eyes to be “reddened and glazed” and his irises were “exceptionally expanded.” The officer inquired if Woods had ingested any spirits, to which he responded: “Absolutely none.”

Upon Levenar’s inquiry about Woods’ use of prescribed drugs, he affirmed: “I consume several.” Woods mentioned he had ingested prescribed tablets earlier that day, as per the documentation.

The designations of the drugs were obscured within the sworn statement.

A different law enforcement officer from Martin County discovered two tablets of hydrocodone within Woods’ left trouser pocket, as stated in the apprehension affidavit. Hydrocodone constituted the substance detected in Woods’ body during his detainment for impaired driving offenses in May of 2017.

Duncan served as Woods’ legal counsel during a legal matter in 2017, where the athlete was detained for alleged impaired driving subsequent to law enforcement personnel discovering him unconscious behind the steering wheel in his operating automobile, which exhibited dual deflated tires and harm to both its forward and posterior bumpers. Woods stated he had consumed an unfortunate combination of analgesics.

Woods subsequently admitted culpability for imprudent driving and consented to join a rehabilitation initiative as an element of the agreement. That year, Woods enrolled in a rehabilitation establishment to address issues concerning prescribed medications.

During February of 2021, Woods sustained substantial lower limb damage from a solo vehicular collision just beyond Los Angeles, wherein his SUV somersaulted multiple times and rendered him incarcerated inside. He subsequently underwent an operation to address “compound fractures” of his lower right limb, had a metal rod inserted into a shin bone, and received screws and pins in his foot and ankle during an urgent operation. Woods remained in the hospital for three weeks post-operation.
