Despite his frequent boasting concerning electoral deception, Elon Musk has emerged as one of the most egregious transgressors of US election statutes. His America PAC has now been issued a censure by the Georgia State Election Board for dispatching pre-populated absentee ballot requests. State legislation forbids any individual, save for an authorized family member, from furnishing an absentee ballot application already filled with the voter’s details.
Inhabitants of Chattooga, Cherokee, Coweta, Floyd, and Whitfield counties indicated they obtained absentee ballot applications from America PAC that were partly pre-completed. As per the State Election Board, these applications also failed to indicate that they were not official ballots and were not supplied by the government, a disclosure legally mandated.
During the State Election Board session on February 18th, the panel promptly delivered the censure. America PAC seemingly neglected to dispatch a representative or present a statement to justify its conduct.
This incident represents the newest illustration of Musk pushing the boundaries of election regulations, following his repeated proposals to compensate individuals for endorsing petitions and enrolling to vote in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and other pivotal states. It also stands as a further occurrence where those who profess deep concern about electoral honesty have been discovered possibly infringing upon the law.
