The Verge will be journeying to Barcelona, Spain, to cover Mobile World Congress, widely regarded as the year’s foremost exhibition for mobile phones.
While CES often captures the main attention for televisions, computer components, and AI absurdities, MWC decidedly excels when it comes to all things mobile. Given its nature as a global gathering, it will feature a diverse array of announcements for smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices, many of which might not see an immediate release in the US market.
Manufacturers such as Samsung and Google are also slated to be present, though their primary focus will be discussing the already-unveiled 10A and S26 models. Concurrently with MWC, Apple is launching an item that same week, but its event will not actually be held in Barcelona.
